What license type does the user need to be able to update the task progress of a task assigned to them? There are no changes in the experience for users with licenses other than E3 and E5.ġ. The experience of updating the “% complete” field of a task will be as shown below: “Limited Access” will be shown next to the project name to indicate that the user can only update the task progress of the tasks assigned to them. When an E3 or E5 licensed user who is part of the project’s Office 365 group opens the project, they will see the project page as shown below. The users need to be part of the Office 365 group of the project to be able to open and update their task progress. To enhance collaboration, Microsoft 365 and Office 365 users with E3 and E5 licenses can now update the task progress, or “% complete”, of a task assigned to them in any project they are part of, without a Project license.
